Today I’m diving into and sharing some of my secret Pinterest boards where I save furniture, lighting, objects for the home, textiles and materials for future clients and personal homes I want to design and build some day.

I often talk with my (now Fiancé!) about how wild the transition from working a corporate W-2 job for a decade to now attempting to run my own service based business as an Interior Designer and Creative Consultant has been. One thing I find so deeply satisfying about how life has unfolded for me personally this year, is finally gaining clarity about all of the small threads that I was weaving over the years, finally having the opportunity to step back and see the larger tapestry that was being created. The past several years (up until spring of this year), really since the start of the pandemic, life shifted entirely and I found myself working from home, feeling stuck and unfulfilled. My days were characterized by work I didn’t enjoy, and a feeling that a fog had settled over my life, preventing me from seeing anything clearly, especially the path I needed to take from getting from a place of dissatisfaction to this long held dream I had been holding in private.

Now, looking back over those years, I can see with so much clarity all of the individual threads I was weaving, that I had no idea where a part of this much larger story and tapestry that is now the life I find myself living. In those early pandemic years of being at home, more than was good for me, I found myself going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole of objects, furniture, and designers that caught my eye, and quietly saving these ideas and writing about design on my personal blog. At the time, my design journal had a monthly view count of about 6 (myself and my partner were two of those ha!) - To those other 4 people, I don’t know who you are but thank you for being there:)

Anyway, to keep a long intro short - today I’m diving into and sharing some of my secret Pinterest board where I save products, lighting, objects for the home, and materials for future clients and personal homes I want to design and build some day.

So.. let’s dive in!

Furniture

  • Perch Slipper Armchair - the name alone !

  • French Brutalist Root Coffee Table 1950’s - I have one of these in my living room, and it’s my most loved piece of furniture (and I found mine for $200 at Alameda Flea, what a steal!)

  • Kurul Chair by Henning Kjaernulf, Denmark 1960’s - google that man’s name and everything you find will be gold
